How to list your startup on TRUEen

TL;DR

TRUEen (trueen.com) is a general business directory that has run since 2015 and lists companies, personal sites and NGOs from all over the world. A free listing sits next to paid premium packages, whose prices TRUEen shows only after you sign up. It suits startups that want one more consistent business citation, and it offers no founder community or discussion.

What is TRUEen?

TRUEen calls itself a B2B directory where people find and connect with verified local businesses. In October 2026 the homepage claims over 736K businesses, and new listings keep arriving: on 30 October 2026 the newest entries were a few hours old. Each listing shows the description, address, phone number, website and social profiles.

TRUEen also sells services around the directory: local SEO and local citation building, where its team submits your business data to other directories. The citation packages cost $45 for 30 citations, $75 for 50 and $150 for 100, which works out at $1.50 per citation. We found no forum, chat or member discussion on the site.

Who should list on TRUEen?

  • Startups with a registered address and phone number that want their name, address and phone (NAP) to read the same way across directories.
  • Local service businesses and B2B companies that sell in a specific city or country, since TRUEen sorts listings by country and category.
  • Founders who want a free profile with a website link; on the free listing we checked, that link carried no nofollow tag.
  • Skip it if you want users, feedback or investor attention. One profile among hundreds of thousands gets little exposure. Gambling, adult content and hacking or cheating services are not accepted at all.

How much does TRUEen cost?

A standard listing is free; TRUEen's terms refer to both free and premium listings. Premium packages are paid with credits that you buy in your account. The terms state that credits never expire and are not refundable, apart from an accidental duplicate purchase. Premium prices sit behind the login, so we cannot quote them here.

How do you list your startup on TRUEen?

  1. Search the TRUEen business list for your company first. Listings created by third parties exist, and you can claim them.
  2. Create an account on the TRUEen sign-up page with an email address on your own business domain.
  3. Click Add Business and enter the company name, full address with zip code, phone number and website. The terms say the company name must match the submitted URL.
  4. Choose a category from TRUEen's list; sites outside the published categories are rejected.
  5. To claim an existing listing, open it, click Unclaimed and complete the verification form. Claims from Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook addresses go through support by hand, and support answers within 24 to 48 business hours.

Tips to get more out of TRUEen

  • Copy your name, address and phone exactly as they appear on your website and Google Business Profile. Matching data is the whole point of a citation.
  • Write the description in plain words: what you sell, to whom, and where. Add your social profiles too, since the listing page displays them.
  • Ask support@trueen.com for the premium price and contents before you buy credits, because credits cannot be refunded.
  • Skip the paid citation packages if you can submit to ten good directories yourself in an afternoon.

Our verdict

TRUEen is alive and busy, and a free listing costs you fifteen minutes. Treat it as one more citation for local search, and spend your budget where your buyers already spend time.
