How to list your startup on AngelList and Wellfound
TL;DR
The old AngelList split in two. Startup profiles and jobs moved to Wellfound, an independent company since November 2022, where a company profile and job posts are free. AngelList itself now sells fund administration to investors and runs Rollups, a service for startups that raise money from many small backers. Typing angel.co sends you straight to wellfound.com.
What is AngelList / Wellfound today?
Wellfound was AngelList Talent until November 2022, when it spun out as AL Talent, Inc. and took its new name. It reports 27,000+ companies hiring, 10M+ opted-in candidates and 100,000+ hires. Your Wellfound company profile shows your pitch, logo, website, team, culture and funding to candidates. AngelList now states that Wellfound "is no longer a part of the AngelList portfolio."
AngelList serves venture funds, rolling funds and SPVs (one-deal investment entities), with 25,000 syndicates and funds on board. For founders, the relevant product is Rollups, part of AngelList's family of brands: a Roll Up Vehicle (RUV) lets you take money from many investors through one entity, so they take up one line on your cap table. Startups have raised from $50k to $100M+ this way.
