How to list or claim your startup on Tracxn
TL;DR
Tracxn is a Bengaluru-based database of private companies that venture capital funds, private equity firms, investment banks and corporate M&A teams use to find deals. Founders can list a missing startup or claim an existing profile for free, then request edits once the claim is approved. Paid data access exists, but Tracxn does not publish its prices.
What is Tracxn?
Tracxn is run by Tracxn Technologies Limited, a listed Indian company. Its homepage reports coverage of 8.4 million+ companies, 749,000+ funded companies, 2 million+ funding rounds and 292,000+ investors, with 7,800+ companies added per day (data as of 1 July 2026). It says 1,000+ customers in 30+ countries use the platform.
Tracxn combines software with human analysts and sorts companies into more than 3,000 sector feeds. Investors build deal lists from those feeds, so an accurate profile reaches the people screening your sector.
Who should list or claim a profile on Tracxn?
- Funded or fundraising startups that want investors and acquirers to see correct numbers, founders and positioning.
- Founders whose profile already exists with old data: claiming gets your edits handled on priority.
- B2B startups selling to corporates, because corporate M&A and venture teams also search Tracxn.
- Skip it if you run a local service business or a consumer brand with no plans to raise or sell: Tracxn readers are investors and dealmakers.
How much does Tracxn cost?
- Listing a startup: free. An analyst follows up on the form.
- Claiming and editing a profile: free, according to Tracxn's help centre.
- Lite plan: free, no credit card, with strict usage limits.
- Premium and data packs (APIs, data dumps): price on request through sales. Tracxn mentions trial packs and discounts for new ventures and non-profits, without figures.
The DA of 53 belongs to tracxn.com. The real gain is visibility in investor searches and a correct record when someone checks your company.
How do you list or claim your startup on Tracxn?
- Sign up for free at tracxn.com/signup with your company email address, which a claim requires.
- Search for your startup with Global Search.
- If it is missing, fill in the List Your Startup form: company name, website, extra details, an optional product document, your name and business email. You can also raise a curation request from search. Tracxn notifies you once the company is curated.
- If it exists, open the company page and open My Activity, then the Claim Profile tab, or the "Founder? Claim Profile" banner. Click Claim This Profile, enter your details and role, and submit.
- After approval, a Request Edits button appears at the top of every tab. Use it to correct funding, team, description or sector.
Tips to get more out of Tracxn
- Claim before you raise. Investors use Tracxn to screen deals, and a stale round or wrong founder list costs you credibility.
- Upload a clear product document with the listing form. Analysts use it to place you in the right sector feed.
- Name your business model plainly, such as "B2B payroll software for clinics", so the taxonomy matches the searches investors run.
- Send each new round as an edit right after it closes, with the amount, date and investors.
- Use the free Lite plan for investor lists, competitor lists and fundraising benchmarks.
Our verdict
Tracxn is worth ten minutes for any startup that plans to raise or sell: listing and claiming are free, and the people who read it are exactly the ones who write cheques. Consumer brands looking for buyers will get little from it.
